On the far right the woman, standing dressed in a long white dress, answers, "SHE - Yes dear that's so it sounds like a chorus of cats - o dear! I wish they'd give us a chance." In the middle section, three cats are fighting on a series of telephone wires, suspended over a city of houses.
The card is drawn in black and white. To the left is an inset of a woman in a rich fur coat and hat with veil. Near the top of her circle there is a grape vine, and pumpkins are stacked at the bottom. Slightly to teh right is an angel with clasped hands. Printed at the top is "Greetings for Thanksgiving."
The Halloween card is done in black and white; the scene features a woman in a nightgown at an open window with a candle in her hand and full moon in the background. Streaming behind her and curling toward the candle is a ghost-like spirit. The print at the bottom reads: "Halloween / There comes but once a year / A night, with spooks to fear, / Be not afraid of them my dear / In spirit your beloved is near."
The inset in the upper right of the card is black and white. It depicts a woman in a fancy dress with her hands clasped at her breast, looking at the small angel standing near her. The angel has wings, an open coat, an object around its waist, and carries something in both hands. The card is bordered in silver and white, with green and red holly decorating the edges. Printed beneath the inset is "A Merry Christmas."
The main scene of the card is printed in black and white. It shows a family gathered around a lighted and decorated Christmas tree. A man and woman stand to the right, with the woman holding a baby. Another child sits on the floor, and one stands by the window with a smaller sibling in their arms. The card is bordered in silver and white with red and green holly along the right side. The card is printed in black and white. A young yet severe masculine-looking angel is wearing a white robe and hat while holding up a small evergreen tree. The background is a wintry forest. "God Jul" is printed at the bottom, followed by a handwritten signature.
Mary holds the baby Jesus as he plays. "A Christmas Greeting" is printed at the top and "O blessed day, O Christmas morn, When unto us, The Christ was born" at the bottom. The card is black and white.
The card depicts, in black and white, a stable scene of Joseph and Mary gazing upon the newborn baby Jesus in a manger. Stylistically, it looks as if statues were photographed. The print beneath reads "Wie danken die, Herr Jesu Christ, / daB du ein Kind geworden bist, / und hergekommen uns zu gut, / uns mitgebracht dein himmlisch Gut. / Gesegnete Weihnacht / und alles Gut zum neuen Jahr!" The general meaning is a thank-you to Jesus for coming as a newborn, wishing the receiver a blessed Christmas and New Year.
