Description
An account of the resource
This vertically oriented postcard has a white border around all sides. The image shows a young boy and little curly-haired girl wearing all white clothing. They stand in a living space around a decorated Christmas tree. The boy is putting an ornament on the tree and stands beside a rocking horse and drum. The little girl stands in front of the tree playing with a doll in a yellow stroller. Behind the tree is the entryway to another room on the left side of the card and on the right behind the tree is a doorway. The bottom of the image reads "Hold this before a brilliant light, and Santa Claus will come in sight." When held up to the light, a long-bearded outline of Santa Claus appears behind the girl, along the wall and doorway on the right side of the card. He holds his right hand out pointed towards the tree and in his left hand holds a large bag. He has a hat on his head and looks at the tree.

Description
An account of the resource
This postcard is oriented horizontally and has an off-white background. In the bottom left corner is a bundle of holly leaves and four, red holly berries. In the upper left corner in decorated script of blue, gold, red, green, and purple, it reads "Santa visits you to-day, may he bring good cheer, peace, content, and merriment for the coming year." To the right of this script is a young boy with straight, golden hair wearing a green and red outfit with tights. He faces toward a young girl across from him on the right side of the card. On his head is a green hat with a red feather and he holds a Santa Claus mask with a long white beard in front of his face. On his neck is a white fanned collar. His shirt has puffed shoulders with red and green stripes and is otherwise green with red cuffs on the sleeves. He has a red belt with a gold buckle and wears puffed green and red striped shorts with green tights. His feet are small and he wears red shoes with a slight heel. The girl across from him has dark brown hair piled on top of her head and pinned with holly leaves and berries. Her collar is large and white and fans out behind her. Her hands are clasped in front of her chest and over one elbow hangs a wreath made of holly leaves and berries. Her dress is golden with puffed shoulders with gold and blue stripes. The skirt looks like it has a hoop under it and has a blue stripe around the hem. She wears blue tights and brown shoes with a slight heel. She looks at the boy across from her with the Santa Claus mask.

Description
An account of the resource
This postcard is oriented vertically and shows a dining room scene. An older gentleman sits at a wooden chair which is padded with green striped cushions on its seat and arms and is near the right side of the card. The man is wearing a dark grey floor-length robe with red lapels and cuffs. His socks are seen to be a pale blue and he wears dark brown slippers on his feet. He has a long white beard, mustache, and hair which pokes out from under his dark brown cap. He looks down and reaches out with both arms to a young girl on standing on the floor in front of him. She reaches up with both arms toward him and faces away from the viewer. Her hair falls above her shoulders and is a golden brown color. She wears a dark blue dress which has a thick, white, lacy collar. The sleeves of the dress are three-quarters with a thin white lace hem. The dress has a red belt about the waist, and the hem of the skirt falls just above her knees. She wears red tights and flat brown shoes. Her left foot is plantarflexed so that her heel is raised and only her toes touch the floor. On the left side of the card, behind the two figures sits a wooden table covered by a pale blue table cloth. Along the edges of the tablecloth, a floral pattern is visible. On top of the table sits a potted green plant. The table is set against a window with two panes. Over the window hangs a lacy curtain. The floor in the room is wooden and without rugs. Beginning in the top left corner and working toward the middle right side of the postcard, it reads in green block print, "Godt Nytt Ar!"
