The card has a bright red border with a holly branch in the upper right and "Wishing You a Merry Christmas" across the bottom. In the center, Father Christmas in a crown of holly and green button-down coat shows a jack-in-the-box to a little girl in pink sitting on his lap.
This card is very busy; firstly, it has a border of holly and bells around the upper 2/3 of the card. The bottom third is a poem, which is bordered by two Santas and bells on the bottom. It reads "And away the deers flew / like the down of a thistle / But St. Nick exclaimed ere / he drove out of sight / Happy Christmas to all and / to all a good night." Above that is a boy in white holding a joker doll; the background behind him is a decorated Christmas tree. Finally, above him in the upper 1/3 of the card, Santa Claus rides by houses over the snowy ground in a sleigh pulled by three reindeer.
The upper part of the card is shaded to appear dark. It features a little blonde-haired boy in blue whose pajamas leave his behind bare. There is a toy horse on the floor. The text at the bottom reads "I'm not afraid in the / dark / I'ts a little bear behind".
Most of the background of the card is gray, with some white line patterns and "A Merry Christmas" printed at the bottom. There is a square inset in the center of the card which shows Father Christmas, dressed in brown, seated at a table. There is a tree behind him and a lantern beside him while he works to make a toy horse.
Drawn in a cartoon style, Santa Claus sits on the floor, presenting a doll to a girl in yellow. The borders are busy, showing window scenes and decorated in holly. Below the scene is the poem: "Hurrah for dear old Santa Claus, / Who comes but once a year, / And may he bring full many things, / To a friend that I hold dear."
