Description

Two men, Ed Majerus at left and possibly John O’Rourke at right, stand in the Majerus Grocery Store at 475 Clay Street. These products are visible in the store: a crate full of heads of lettuce or cabbage, Jell-O gelatin, Welch’s Grape Juice, Argo Starch, Old Dutch Cleanser, Fairbanks Gold Dust Washing Powder, Kellogg’s Toasted Corn Flakes, Uneeda Biscuits, Sopade, Washington Crisps, Morton’s Table Salt, Montague’s Samoset Biscuits, Iten’s Animals (crackers or biscuits), loaves of bread, and a pineapple. There is a display for Armour Grape Juice hanging on the back wall. Washboards, laundry baskets and market baskets are displayed on top of the shelving at right and the display on top of the shelving at left includes tin washtubs. The number “106” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. No number is written in the upper left corner.
