The men are wearing long pants and long shirts and the boys are wearing swim apparel of shorts and tank tops. The girls and women are wearing dresses to the left of the photo. There are buildings on top of the water, either floating or built above the water. The building closest to the photographer is white or a lighter color, and three more are along the shore father down. Three boys are seen trying to climb on top of the building, with one on the roof, one being lifted to the roof, and one on the ground helping lift the middle boy. There is a bridge in the distance that extends over the Mississippi River and connects Iowa to Wisconsin. There is a man seen sitting on a post looking towards the water on the right side and a boy laying down in the middle looking at the photographer in a posing position.
