Description
A swimming beach on the bank of the Mississippi River at Eagle Point park. The photograph is taken from the sandy beach and looks towards Wisconsin on the other side of the river where trees are along the banks. In the foreground is a group of young boys dressed in everyday clothing standing looking towards the water. To their left is a group of 4 boys sitting and laying on the sand. To the left of the groups of boys is a woman wearing heels and a lighter colored dress and umbrella with a group of boys sitting on the sand in front of her and to her left. Behind this other group is a man wearing pants, a long sleeved shirt, and a hat, and to his left is another man wearing the same. The individuals on the beach are standing looking out towards the water at children who are playing in the water and there are many standing on a submerged platform waiting in line to climb up a taller platform with a ladder. There are a few children, mainly boys, standing on top, with one in the process of climbing up the ladder, and another in the process of jumping and diving into the water from the raised platform.
