Title

[Group in Front of Fence]

Creator

Hoffman, Peter B.

Description

As the back of the photograph explains, "Mom & Dad & Kitty Tilckes." Kitty Tilckes is standing on the left, in a light colored dress, glasses, pearl necklace, and bouquet of flowers in her right arm and hand. Her left arm and hand is behind her back. Next to her is Albert D. Hoffmann Sr. He is standing with his left fist on his left hip, the weight on his left leg, and his right arm reaching for the fence behind him. He is wearing a dark colored hat and pants, a dark tie, light colored shirt, and suspender. Next to him is his wife, Emma or Emily (Schumacher) Hoffmann. She is also wearing a light colored dress, a necklace, and a bouquet of flowers in her left arm and hand. Her wedding ring is visible. The group is standing in mud or dirt in front of a fence that is surrounded by trees and other greenery. Behind the fence is an open area, but through the slits in the fence, water appears to be visible below the open area. The bottom right corner of the photograph is ripped away.
