<dcterms:description><![CDATA[This postcard is oriented vertically and shows an outdoor wintry scene. In the center is a single chestnut horse pulling a sleight with two individuals and full of toys. The horse has bells around its neck and the figure driving the horse wears a red coat with a grey hat, grey scarf, and grey gloves, and they look to the left side of the card with a smile on their face. Behind this figure, farther up and back in the sleigh, is an older man with a grey beard and hair, wearing a dark brown hat and coat and raising his right fist up above his head. To the right side of the card, behind these figures, is a stand of evergreen trees. On the other side of the snowy track where the sleigh is passing through are two other figures, standing near and on the steps of a wooden building. A young boy stands with his back to the viewer, holding a lantern glowing bright yellow with light in his right hand while his left hand is raised up. He wears a striped cap and a dark blue coat, black pants, dark blue stockings, and black boots that reach past his ankles. He stands on the ground to the right of the two steps leading to a wooden structure. A young woman stands at the top of these steps in the doorway, slightly raising her right hand, and not looking at the viewer. Her hair is short and curled and she wears a brown dress and boots. In the bottom right corner it reads in red script "God Jul" and has handwritten pencil script below this. The sky in the image is a of darker clouds.]]></dcterms:description>

Inside this blue/green/grey frame is a wave-like black line with spiked lines intermittently placed along it. On his face is a pair of bifocals placed on the tip of his nose and he looks down at a smiling child swaddled in his arms on his lap. The infant is smiling with an open mouth and has golden curly hair on his head. His left hand is visible outside of the tight white cloth wrapped around him, and it appears that his right hand is holding a brimming and frothing stein filled with beer. The white cloth around the infant has criss-crossed red borders around it. The old man's shoes are visible under his robe and are red and white checked. To his left, imprinted on the rock wall that he sits on is "DK" circled. Below his feet over the rock wall is a white scroll that reads "Frohes Neujahr" in red script. In the background, behind the man, is a mountain range with a radiant sunrise or sunset and a white sun peeking out behind the mountains, behind the infant's head.
