A cash register with  &quot;Ed Grue&quot; on a sign above it, and a “Dayton Computing Scale Co.” scale are on the counter. An empty tray, two other trays filled with various cuts of meat, and a meat- cutting saw are also on the counter. Two men, wearing stained white coats with large protective cuffs are standing behind the counter. A large cut of meat has been placed on a chopping block beside one of the men. A refrigerated case with glass doors is visible behind the counter. Glass milk bottles may be seen in the case. On a rear counter behind the men are additional cuts of meat.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Appears to be the backyards of three houses. On the left hand side of the photo is a tree, and under this tree, is a double swing with two benches facing one another. There is a small walkway by the side of the swings which may go from the back of a hidden house on the left, to the back of the yard where there is a fence. The first visible house is a large dark colored house with a small back porch, and in one of the windows is a sign that reads &quot;ICE&quot;. To the right of this house is a lighter house, possibly white or beige with a small roof over the backdoor and staircase, where a person wearing a white shirt is seen sitting on the steps. This backyard connects to the other backyard and there is also another double swing. Next to this house is a house that is lighter than the first house, possibly light brown, with a stone foundation visible. This house extends from behind the previous house, towards the right of the photograph. There is a tree in front of the back fence with a small wooden staircase leading up to the wire fence. The fence sits above the yard and is thin metal rods with points like arrows pointing up.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[A long, light colored, marble counter dominates this image. On one end may be seen a large selection of desserts including cake slices, pies, and the feature of the day, for ten cents  - “Strawberry Shortcake with Whipped Cream,” and “served in a bowl with extra cream.”  Next to the desserts are two large serving bowls and plates with rolls, bread slices and donuts. Additional desserts are visible at the far end of the counter. In the center of the counter is a cash register, registering a twenty-five cent sale. Two signs advertising “Combination Salad” for ten cents are on either side of the cash register. Three men, all dressed in white coats, shirts and ties, are standing behind the counter near the cash register. Five large silver urns for dispensing liquids are behind the men. Over the urns is a hood with a sign that reads “To avoid mistakes please pay when served.” Over the hood is a “Please Don’t Smoke” sign. On either side of the hood are menu boards which advertise selections such as “Hot Egg Sandwich,” “Baked Beans” or “Buttermilk” for five cents each. Other selections include “Hot Chicken Pie,” Cream of Tomato Soup,” “Roast Beef Sandwich” or “Irish Stew” for  ten cents each, and “Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes” for fifteen cents. A large, electric chandelier hangs from the white, pressed tin ceiling. The floor is tile, in a circular pattern.
