The sign in the surviving building says &quot;H Sussmann, Bakery, Open Monday.&quot; According to the 1913 City Directory, the Henry Sussmann bakery was located at 129 Main St.  The building to the right  - 139 Main - is Laude &amp; Miller, Farm Machinery, Wagons, Buggies, Etc. There is no listing for the gutted building. ]]></dcterms:description>

One secretary is seated in the rear room and looking through the window at the camera.  In the front room, a businessman is sitting at a table facing the camera. Another woman is also seated at this table, ready to take dictation. A desk is visible behind the man. A small placard, a list and a stamped postcard have been slipped into the top of the wainscoting on the wall behind the table. A portion of the wall above the wainscoting has been wallpapered in a leafy pattern. A large portrait of a man with a full white beard and another smaller portrait of a different gentleman, who is partially bald, are hung on the wallpapered portion of the wall.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[This photograph shows four women sewing substantial pieces of heavy fabric on industrial sewing machines equipped with large spools of white thread. Piles of canvas are haphazardly scattered on racks and on the wooden floor of the spartan warehouse space. Several different patterns of wide-striped fabric, one of which is similar to that used on the awnings on the Security Building, at the corner of 8th and Main Streets, may be seen in several of these piles. Other awning pieces are hanging from the ceiling behind the women. A scalloped metal pattern piece is hanging from a wooden post; bare light bulbs hang from the ceiling over the sewing machines. A stove is visible in a corner of the photograph. The number &quot;19&quot; has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number &quot;2&quot; is written in the upper left corner.<br />
