Behind him, there are filing cabinets lined against the wall at left. On the back wall is a large pull-down map that is labeled: “Map of the City of Dubuque, Iowa, Compiled and Published by W.H. Knowlton, 1897.” On the map is an illustration of the B &amp; I building. There is a June, 1912 Dubuque Fire and Marine Insurance Company calendar pinned to a window sill next to the map. The calendar is labeled, “Local Department,” and lists Charles J. Schrup as the manager. Kleis, Laura M. Kleis, William Kleis, Herman Kleis, Lewis E. Kleis, and Harry A. Kleis and the company produced &quot;soda water, ginger ale, mineral waters, etc.&quot;<br />
