"A Merry Xmas" is printed on the green gate to the left of the card; a bird perches on top. The background is a field of snow with bare trees, and in the distance there's a house. In the bottom left of the card there is a sprig of holly.

He has a package stuffed in his pocket and toys in the basket on his back. In the distance, two boys watch the scene from behind the trees. The bottom reads "A Merry Christmas to you."
The background of the card is a crinkled gold. A sprig of holly done solely in brownish-bronze curls around an inset rectangular image of Father Christmas. He is dressed in brown as well, carrying a gold sack over his left shoulder and a tree and staff in his half-hidden right hand. The greeting at the bottom reads "A Merry Christmas".
