Father Christmas Looks Down on Sleeping Child from Roof
Description
The card is split into two scenes by a holly vine. The top depicts Father Christmas on the snowy roof with the moon shining over his shoulder. He is dressed in brown and carries a full basket of toys on his back. He leans one arm against the chimney, and with the other he is holding evergreen branches. The bottom of the card depicts a sleeping long-haired, blonde child. Around her are toys including a doll and a rabbit playing a drum. The upper right of the card reads "Compliments of G.A. Schwarz, No 1006 Chestnut St. Philadelphia."
The scene shows Father Christmas and his companions making their way through the snow. Father Christmas, dressed in brown and carrying a lantern and walking stick, is in the middle of the group. Behind him, a large blonde-haired angel sits on a sled and carries a tree. The reindeer is pulling the sled, and a rabbit runs alongside them. The bottom reads "With best Christmas wishes."
A tall blonde-haired angel in white with a flower crown is carrying toys in its arms. A much shorter Father Christmas stands behind is, carrying a walking stick, lantern, and tree on his back. There are snow-covered bare trees and branches by them; a crow is perched on one and a rabbit among the others. The bottom reads "Christmas Greetings."
