There are many trees on either side of the church and greenery growing up the sides of the church. On Main street is one entrance to the church, and on 14th Street is another entrance. Above both of these entrances are stone crosses at the point of the entrance roof. There is an electrical pole in front of the church at the corner of the two streets.]]></dcterms:description>

The street is a brick street with some dirt and mud on the road. On the right side of the photograph is a car parked on the road. To the left, on the sidewalk, is a horse pulling a cart with a man and many boxes. To the left is another horse pulling a man with packages and what appears to be sandbags. There are also sandbags on the ground in front of the carriage. There is an open door behind the horse and carriage where many men are standing looking at the photographer. To the left and on the sidewalk is more men and another horse and carriage in line. Below this, on the street, is a man on a bicycle and another car parked on the street.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[A riverboat on the banks of the Mississippi River. The boat has the name &quot;Susan&quot; written on the bow of the boat with a picture of a bird with its wings stretch out and two American flags, one on either side of the bird and name. The boat is three levels, and on the top level is the smokestack and bridge/deck-house where the captain steers the ship. There is a plank going from the bottom level of the ship to the bank of the Mississippi. The land has railroad tracks on the left side and where the railroad tracks separate is a group of smokestacks from factories with black smoke coming from them. In the distance there is a bridge connecting the two sides of the river and a small island in the distance on the left side of the photograph.]]></dcterms:description>

The first building, closest to the right side of the photograph, has trees in front of it. The building has a set of stairs leading up to the second floor where there is a porch. There is also a porch on the third floor, but to get to it, one must be on the third floor. There is an add on to the building on the right side that appears to be enclosed porches on the second, third, and fourth floors. The second building, to the left, is connected to the first building. This building has no entryway visible. The third building is presumably connected to the second building, but there is no visible connection. The church bell tower has a steeple and an opening where the bell would be. The area of the bell is open with intricate lattice work. The church is a brick church. The front doors are located in the middle of church, up a set of concrete steps from the sidewalk. The windows are arched and the arches are outlined in a lighter stone. There is a chimney coming from the left side of the roof, but it is somewhat hidden by the roof. There are telegraph/telephone lines to the right and to the left of the church going along each of the roads that continue towards the back of the picture.]]></dcterms:description>
