A female clerk is standing on the opposite side of the table. Rows of small drawers are visible behind the clerk. Bolts of fabric have been placed on the counter beside the woman.  Other clerks and the department manager are standing along the aisle towards the rear of the room. Many bolts of fabric have been placed on the counters, and are also visible on shelves behind the counters.
