    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[5 Allied soldiers, most likely American, are standing in a trench at the St. Mihiel Front in France during World War 1. The trench is slightly deeper than the men are tall. 4 of the men are looking at the photographer and 1 of them, who is on the right is holding and looking at an object. The ground above the trench is covered in grass and wild flower. There are wood pieces to the right that are holding one of the soldiers&#039; jackets. Dirt is piled up on the left side of the photograph along the top of the trench.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[The German U-boat (U-139) that sank the Lusitania. The U-139 is at the center of the photograph, floating on the water. The end to the left is lower towards the water. There appears to be ocean organisms or warfare dirt along the side of the U boat. There are two tall masts on the boat. One is at the center and the other is towards the right of the photograph There are two large artillery guns on opposite sides of the central conning tower, which is the central walled area. The artillery guns are possibly called deck guns or anti-aircraft guns.  There is a larger ship docked to the left of the image as well as a smaller one next to the larger. There is another water vessel that is in the bottom right of the photograph and a few boats off in the distance, behind the U-139.]]></dcterms:description>
