    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[The McFadden Coffee and Spice Company building that was located at 227 Main St. in Dubuque, Iowa in the mid-1910s. The number &quot;227&quot; is visible above the front door of the building. The building is a brick building that is 4 stories tall. The front door is two main, wooden doors with a glass window above that has the address of &quot;227&quot; on it. There is an arched stone above the doorway. To the left of the building is either an alley or an open, dirt area. There is a small walkway next to the building that leads to at least two doors in the side of the building. The street in front of the building is a brick road. There is a wooden post in the right side of the photograph with the words, &quot;Look Out for the Cars.&quot; Also to the right of the building, in the background is another building that has signs on it that are not fully visible. One says, &quot;A. Frater&quot; and another is &quot;es, Pelts, Woo&quot; and the rest is cut off on either side. The right side of the building is cut off on the corner and angled back instead of a 90 degree angle at the corner. A majority of the windows on the front of the building are open. Among their productions were baking powder, coconut, chocolate, coffee, Cream of Tartar, toilet soaps, mustard, whole and ground spices, dry and liquid bluing, hops, pressed and ground sage, cinnamon, pepper, and ground cassia. The products were sold wholesale throughout Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Minnesota and the eastern Dakotas.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[The McFadden Coffee and Spice Company building that was located at 227 Main St. in Dubuque, Iowa in the mid-1910s. The front door is two main, wooden doors with a glass window above that has the address of &quot;227&quot; on it. There is an arched stone above the doorway. To the left of the building is either an alley or an open, dirt area. The street in front of the building is a brick road with street car tracks. There is a wooden post in the right side of the photograph with the words, &quot;Look Out for the Cars.&quot; Also to the right of the building, in the background is another building for the Dubuque Company Paper Warehouse. To the left of the McFadden  building is the Dennis Brothers Company, which dealt with flour, feed, grain, hay, oil meal, molasses feeds and poultry feeds. It was also an agent for Prairie Queen Flour, which is notes at the top of the building. There is a small roofed walkway at the first floor of the building. The right side of the McFadden building is cut off on the corner and angled back instead of a 90 degree angle at the corner. There is a fire escape that runs down the side of the building from the roof/5th floor to the ground level. A majority of the windows on the front of the building are open. There is a small, wooden building to the right of the building that has two windows on either side, an open door facing the road, and a stove pipe coming from the roof. There appears to be wheel in front of the building. There is also a horseshoe with the opening facing downwards, above the door. Among the McFadden Coffee and Spice Company productions were baking powder, coconut, chocolate, coffee, Cream of Tartar, toilet soaps, mustard, whole and ground spices, dry and liquid bluing, hops, pressed and ground sage, cinnamon, pepper, and ground cassia. The products were sold wholesale throughout Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Minnesota and the eastern Dakotas.]]></dcterms:description>

Hoffmann Sr., Emil Youngblood, and Edward Hoffmann. Behind the men is Prince the Horse, who is pulling the men&#039;s covered carriage. The trees surround the road and have no leaves on them.
