The grounds in front of the building show charring and debris all over. The main building itself, is on the left side and made of concrete and stone. the back of the building, on the left side, is completely gone and there is a lone wall of stone standing on the far left side. The roof of the building has the shingles falling off and boards hanging off the roof. There is a building to the left that also has taken damage from, presumably, artillery. The building is 2 stories. The bottom has a stone wall with various colored stones. There is a small doorway in the center with an angled roof. The ground in front of the dugout is cleared of trees, but the trees surround the sides and the back of the dugout. There is an Allied solder sitting on a bench and looking towards the photographer. He is wearing his cap and uniform, as well as a long coat that covers his knees. His left leg is extended forward and his right is bent. The railroad and cable continues straight back to the photograph. It has a few vines, tree limbs, and lines of cable covering the railroad. There is a small, rocky hill towards the foreground of the photograph that the railroad is in between. the rocky hill then ends to an area filled with trees towards the background of the image. An allied soldier is standing to the left of the railroad and looking at the photographer. He is wearing his uniform and his right arm and leg are extended towards the railroad.
