In the center is a depiction of an African-American woman standing in the open doorway of a log cab with yellow light spilling out to the snowy ground. Icicles hang from the cabin, and she stands smiling widely in the doorway with the door swinging open into the house behind her. She wears a pale blue long-skirted and long-sleeved dress (though the sleeves are rolled up to her elbows) with a red-polka dot apron over her middle. On her head is a red hat with flaps on either side of her head and she reaches out in front of her with her right hand. Outside the cabin is an older, bearded African-American man with his right side facing the viewer. Towards the top of the postcard a dark night sky is seen with a bright full moon towards the upper left corner. Lit homes and apartments are seen and snow sits on the rooftops. In the immediate foreground toward the right side of the card is Father Christmas wearing a long red robe with white fur trim and a hat to match. His hands are covered by white gloves and in his left hand he holds a tan bag full of something. His right hand is placed on a brown building to his right, This building has icicles hanging from its rooftop seen toward the center top of the card. It also has a lit window near Father Christmas' head with six panes. Around his waist is a piece of twine which hods a bundle of dried branches and a tan satchel.
