Description

Arthur H. Sigmann (or Sigman) sits at a desk in the Armour & Company office at 298 Iowa Street. He wears a butchers’ smock and a straw hat and is looking at a letter. Other papers and letters cover his desk. The only one that is legible reads: “’Ever Ready’ Safety Razors Free to Armour Branch House Salesmen Until July 1st.” A flyer posted on the wall behind Mr. Sigmann reads: ”WIN A DIPLOMA! Join the ‘Measured by Merit’ Aristocracy.” A second man is posed looking into the office from an open window in the next room. A large June, 1912 calendar is draped across a counter under the window. The number “102” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “1 L.M.” is written in the upper left corner.
