Description

A man holding a cigar sits at a large desk at left in this unidentified grocery warehouse office. A woman sits in front of a small table with a Remington Standard Typewriter No. 6 at the back of the office. The office has large windows that look out onto the rest of the warehouse. On the man’s desk are posters that read: “We Sell Old Manse Coffee.” There is a large open safe in the back of the office, on top of which are stacked cans of “Alden’s Best Bird Food,” “Old Manse Coffee,” and tins of tea. Additional products, including “Campbell’s Pork and Beans,” "Pure Extract of Vanilla," “Alden’s Best Bird Food,” and more tea, are stacked on top of a small cabinet between the safe and the man's desk. The number “104” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “6” is written in the upper left corner.
