Photograph is taken from the beach at Eagle Point Park in Dubuque, Iowa. The photographer is facing the Mississippi River. There are two groups of men and kids standing to the right of the photograph, facing towards the center where there is a group of boys wearing swim suits. Two of the boys are holding two other boys on their shoulders. Behind the group on the beach are children playing in the water. There is a small white building floating or built on a wooden platform in the water, and is connected to the beach by a narrow wooden beam. There is a boy sitting on the roof, looking towards the group on the beach. The tree covered banks of Wisconsin are seen across the river. Another small building sits above the water, on the left side of the photograph and is only partially visible.
