Title

A Steamboat On a Smooth Mississippi River

Creator

Hoffman, Peter B.

Description

A steamboat is on the Mississippi River, which is very smooth and calm. On the bank behind the boat, is a tall hill with trees. At the top of the hill, right above the steamboat, in a clearing, sits a set of houses or buildings. The steamboat has two large steam pipes near the front, in front of the pilot house, and two smaller pipes with steam coming out, behind the pilot house. The steamboat is two level and there appears to be livestock or something else on the first level of he steam boat. The paddle wheel at the back is visible and is in motion because there is a wake and water being pulled upwards from the paddle wheel.
