Title

Sledding Fr. Christmas Figures

Description

This postcard is oriented horizontally in a snowy and hilly landscape. In the upper right corner is a snow covered village. Sledding on a long, low, and wooden sled away from this village down a steep snowy hillside are five nearly identical figures looking like Father Christmas. From the front of the sled working toward the back they are wear robes colored red, orange, blue, green, and orange. They each have hoods over their heads and have long, straight white beards and mustaches and look toward the viewer, all without an expression on their faces. The four figures behind the lead have their left arm up on their shoulder for support, while the lead figure has his left hand down on a lever near the bottom of the sled. Packages can be seen to be falling from this sled on the right side of the card on the hill top as they sled past. The figures hold assorted small trees, packages, and toys. On the right side of the postcard on the hilltop are snow covered small evergreen trees, while similar trees can be seen on the left side of the postcard in the foreground, and as a line farther in the distance on a different hill. Near the bottom left corner it reads in green, curled script, "Bonne Annee!"
