Santa Claus is talking into an old-fashioned telephone, which is mounted on a wall. There is a printed message at the bottom which reads: "Hello! Dear Little Friend / I have your name on my list and will leave you some nice presents in the wee small hours of Christmas morning, long before you are up. Yours lovingly Santa Claus".
