Description

A woman sits in front of an open ledger at a roll-top desk and is posed looking at the camera. A man holding a telephone leans on the frame of a window that connects this office with the next. The man has been identified as possibly being Albert M. Keppler, a bookkeeper for the Martin-Strelau Company. There is a large adding machine and a tall filing cabinet to the left of the woman's desk. Above the desk is a framed picture of a coal mine that is labeled: “ Truesdale Colliery, Scranton Coal.” A June, 1912 calendar also hangs above the desk. The woman in this picture also appears in KL 114-445. The man in this picture also appears in KL 052-066. The number “84” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “1” has been written in the upper left corner.
