Title

Holy Family (New Hampton, Iowa)

Description

"When Father Henry P. Rohlman, a member of the Archdiocesan Mission Band, conducted a two weeks’ mission in a borrowed church in January 1909, the area Catholics decided to form a parish. Before Father Rohlman left Rockford, the people appointed Paul Kannengeiser, Will O’Rourke, Sr., and Jose Paulus as a committee to proceed immediately. While preparations were made for a church of their own, they continued to meet for Mass in the Baptist Church. Father Joseph H. Hagemann came from Roseville every second Sunday."
