The Israel/Palestine Conflict in Images

Photographs and political cartoons are a rich text that can convey layers of information and meaning. This exhibit, created by students in HIS285 Arab-Israeli Conflict, uses these images to explore the ways this conflict has been depicted in media at various flashpoints. The images in this exhibit are largely from collections held by the Loras College Library including the John Byrnes Political Cartoon Collection, The Illustrated London News, and Punch magazine. Please note that some of these images may be disturbing.
