A women is posing behind a display case and counter in this photograph of the narrow interior of a beauty shop. Several rows of hair combs and barrettes are visible in the display case. Two other display cases are partially visible behind the counter. A cash register has been placed between the cases. White privacy curtains hang from rods attached to the walls and ceiling towards the rear of the room, while two rocking chairs have been placed in the front of the room. The number “233” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “1” has been written in the upper left corner.
