Description
Smoking a cigar and holding another in his hands, a man is standing near a glass display case in a tobacco and cigar store. A male clerk is standing on the other side of the display case. Boxes of cigars, pipes, and other tobacco products are visible in the display case, as well in is other cases along the walls. Pendants for “Northwestern,” “Chicago” and “Yale” are hung over the display cases, and a day calender open to “6” is also hanging from the wall. A clock with Roman numeral numbers on its face, and which reads “3:40” may be seen hanging under the “Yale” pendant. The number “263” has been written on the emulsion side of the negative and is visible in the upper right corner of the picture. The number “2” has been written in the upper left corner.
