At least nine street cars are visible in this image. A sign on car #202, in the foreground, asks that passengers “have exact fare ready.” A woman carrying a parasol has just climbed the steps of an adjacent car. The conductor is standing near the door, waiting to take the fare of a gentleman waiting to board. Passengers are visible through the windows of other cars. The number 1259 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
