[Lower entrance to 11th Street Elevator, Dubuque, Iowa]

This images was taken from in front of the lower entrance station for the Eleventh Street cable elevator. An automobile is passing in front of the entrance station. The driver, a man wearing a white, long sleeved shirt, is visible in the car. Cables may be seen passing through a stone archway on their way up to the top of the bluff. A cable car is approaching the archway opening. The upper entrance station is also visible. The number 1260-d is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
