Title

[The new Y. M. C. A. building, Dubuque, Iowa]

Creator

Loemker, Herman J., 1868-1937

Description

A square, five story brick building with a flat roof dominates this image. This structure was built as an expansion project to the existing Y.M.C.A. facilities, and would house the Y.M.C.A. for 55 years. When the Y.M.C.A. moved in the early 1970's, the building was remodeled and today houses the Henry Stout Apartment Complex. Behind this building is another brick building referred to at the time as the “old” Y.M.C.A. building. See images LO 074 -LO 075 for other images of this location. The number 2637 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
