Creator
Loemker, Herman J., 1868-1937
Description
A large float pulled by two horses and followed by a long procession of men and women dressed in their Sunday best, is moving along a brick street. Cloth streamers have been draped across the frame of the float, which is being driven by a man. A young boy is seated next to the driver. The horses have been draped with white blankets. Garlands of flowers have been placed on the horses’ backs and also decorate the float. Many spectators line the street. Several are holding umbrellas to protect them from the sun. Street car tracks are visible in the street. This image was taken from above street level. The number 1312-2 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
