[A 1914 Christmas pageant at a Dubuque, Iowa church]

This image shows a group of approximately thirty five young adults and children dressed in costumes and portraying a traditional Christmas pageant. They are posing on the steps of the alter area in a church. The photographer indicates that this image is of “Christmas in Dubuque, 1914,” and thus was probably taken in the sanctuary of the Methodist Episcopal Church where he was a pastor. The number 1321-2 is written on a label that has been stuck to the lower left corner of the slide.
