The photograph was taken across the street from A. Tredway & Sons Hardware Company. A brick road can be seen in the foreground and across the street is the A. Tredway & Sons building, located on Iowa Street. The building is 5 floors. The first floor features 12 doors into the building, and the farthest door on the right is open and has an arched window right above it. The second and third floors feature 12 windows on each floor, with a few open. In between the second and third floor is the sign for the company that reads, " A. TREDWAY & SONS". The word hardware is cut off from the picture. Below this sign on the second floor, there are two offices with individual in them. The office on the left is a man sitting at his desk at there is a calendar on the wall. The office to the right of his shows a woman at her desk with another calendar on the wall that reads "JUNE". The fourth floor has 12 arched windows. The roof features a triangular stone, small pediment with the words, "IOWA BLOCK'.
