Edward Hoffmann is kneeling on the ground, holding a stick with leaves and berries on it, and is handing something to the toddler, Albert Hoffmann, who is sitting and looking at his uncle, Edward Hoffmann. Emily Hoffmann is standing behind Edward and Albert, holding more sticks with berries on them. Emil Youngblood is to the right of the photograph, kneeling with his left hand resting on his left leg, and looking downwards, towards Albert and Edward. Peter B. Hoffmann is kneeling on the ground looking to the left of the photographer. He is kneeling in a pile of the same sticks everyone is holding. Behind Peter is a covered buggy with the reins laid on the front of the buggy. Behind the family is the face of a stone wall with greenery and a few trees surrounding the area.
